Biography
Linda Tokhwe, professionally known as Leeds Music SA, is a South African keyboardist, electronic music producer, and live performer. Born in Kwa-Thema, Springs, Gauteng, his musical journey began after moving to Kwa-Payne in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, where he grew up in a church environment deeply connected to music and worship.
It was in church where Leeds first developed his love for music. At a young age, he taught himself how to play the piano by carefully watching and mimicking other musicians during church services. His natural understanding of melodies, chords, and rhythm quickly became noticeable, laying the foundation for his future career in music.
Driven by passion and curiosity, Leeds later pursued formal musical training at the UNISA Music Academy, where he expanded his knowledge of music theory, composition, and performance. His studies helped shape his creative identity and strengthened his abilities as both a producer and instrumentalist.
Leeds is also the co-founder of Diatonicfamily, a music group formed in Kwa-Thema. The group became an important part of his artistic growth, giving him a platform to perform, compose, and collaborate with other musicians. Through Diatonicfamily, he gained valuable stage experience and began building his career as a producer and live performer.
Today, Leeds Music SA continues to grow as an electronic music artist, creating music that blends emotion, atmosphere, and musical depth. His journey reflects dedication, creativity, and a lifelong passion for sound and performance.
